Compassion

There are two things we’ve been exploring that naturally increase our compassion, without extra effort:
--greater intimacy with ourselves and our stories
--being able to be in the present moment more often, to be in ‘pure awareness’

When we know ourselves better and are able to relax into this moment, our offer of help isn’t so mixed up and corroded with our own discomfort and unconscious needs.  Instead, it comes increasingly from a wise and clear and calm place of intuition about what is genuinely helpful.

We can do practice in developing our compassion in two different ways:  drawing out and applying the compassion that already exists within us; and, getting to know the obstacles and blocks to opening our hearts further.
